Die Grashut was founded in January 1996 by Mrs. G.C. Oppermann as a Sole Proprietorship. Since its inception, the company has experienced rapid expansion driven by its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional quality and services. Specializing in the construction of thatch roofs, Lapa hardware, fiberglass ridging, treated poles, Cape reed, and various building materials, Die Grashut offers a comprehensive range of products and services. Our offerings include the sale of thatching grass, lightning conductors, braais, paving, Lapa repairs, and general building supplies, as well as garden edging.

Die Grashut also caters to the do-it-yourself (DIY) market by providing valuable guidance and supplying all necessary thatching materials for constructing traditional Lapas or entertainment areas. In response to the evolving urban landscape, which now necessitates heightened safety measures, municipalities are increasingly compelled to ensure the safety of all households.
