Unfortunately, a very poor experience with Stuart Fyfe managing agents. We have an elderly lady as our managing agent and she shares a close friendship with a few retired trustees in the complex. This compromises the independence and objectivity that is required of a managing agent. The managing agent has been bias on a number of occasions. She does not assist Body Corporate members when information is requested , even a simple request for the NAMA certification, queries on financial matters etc. Upon signing the contract in 2017, we were told that Stuart Fyfe had experience in take overs, we would be migrated to the cloud so that we can access all information, forms, notices and statements etc. We are past mid of 2019 and no cloud service delivered, which leads me to believe this was a lie. They also took several months to take over from the previous managing agent and still have not obtained all information.
The managing agent is very slow in distribution of minutes of meetings and makes the trustees sometime take minutes and draft letters, so they can review and distribute to the BC members. They sometimes are delayed in paying contractors, and reimbursing trustees if they pay out of pocket. In the first year of being our managing agent i.e. in 2018, our 2018 Body Corporate AGM was held in April 2019. Unfortunately, the managing agent projects friendliness and promises a lot, but do not deliver what was promised.
