ABOUT US

With more than 35 years experience in various avenues of sewing, including interior décor and dressmaking, I started a small factory manufacturing clothing for a couple of local designers. As demands increased, I needed assistance if I was to keep the orders rolling out on time. This was cause for concern, as my quality expectations are huge, and I needed machinists who could meet the high standards to which my clients were accustomed. I needn't have worried, as we now have a very happy workshop staff, who are all extremely capable and suitably qualified.

While chatting to my sister, who is somewhat of a fitness fanatic, I mentioned that it would be good to get a range of clothing designed and available online. Her immediate response was very enthusiastic and she suggested a range of activewear, as there was a limit to what was readily available in terms of stylish affordability as well as garments being durable & comfortable. This sounded like a great challenge – designing and manufacturing a range of attractive, comfy, everyday clothing which is also affordable and easily accessible – online!

Fortunately, I never do anything in half-measures. Soon I was scanning the internet for suppliers of good quality fabrics & threads. Putting pencil to paper designing the simple, yet stylish clothing which make up the Act’v8! clothing range, was the next step to realizing this goal. Many, many hours later we are up and running, offering some wonderfully comfortable & figure-defining garments.
