San Lameer Resort Hotel & Spa is situated on the iconic San Lameer Estate near Southbroom on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast.

The hotel itself is situated on the banks of the tidal Umhlangamkulu Lagoon and Guests have direct access to pristine Blue Flag Indian Ocean beaches.

The intimate hotel offers 40 rooms and suites elegantly decorated in contemporary Indonesian style. In this exclusive and secure beach and golf coastal reserve, guests are surrounded by beauty, luxury and tranquility. The centrepiece of San Lameer’s magnificent domain is the 18-hole championship golf course which has recently hosted the SA Womens Open. For the non-Golfer there are a myriad of facilities and activities on the estate to keep you occupied, not least of all the award winning Camelot Spa.

ACCOMMODATION AT SAN LAMEER HOTEL

San Lameer Resort Hotel and Spa, is an intimate hotel offering 40 rooms and suites elegantly decorated in contemporary Indonesian style. In this exclusive and secure beach and golf coastal reserve, guests are surrounded by beauty, luxury and tranquility. Choose from our available Classic rooms, Deluxe rooms, Executive rooms or Suites.

CLASSIC ROOM

All rooms have open plan, en-suite bathrooms, fully equipped with bathtub and separate shower. All rooms have a flat screen television with selected DSTV channels, are fully air conditioned and have a mini-bar fridge which we will happily stock upon your request.

DELUXE ROOM

Our Deluxe bedrooms are located on the upper levels of the hotel, featuring stunning views of the lagoon and also the hotel swimming pool and deck. Most of these bedrooms have balconies with beautiful views. Enjoy sitting outside, having your morning coffee and enjoying the sunrise.

EXECUTIVE ROOM

Our Executive bedrooms are larger in size than our Deluxe and Classic bedrooms. We have a total of four Executive bedrooms which are all unique in terms of size and layout as they are all located in different parts of the building. These rooms all have larger balconies leading out to the stunning views of the lagoon and surrounding areas.separate bedrooms.

SUITE/FAMILY ROOM

The San Lameer Hotel has two beautiful suites located on the North side of the building, overlooking the lagoon and pool deck.

Our Suites both have King size beds leading into an open, plan en-suite bathroom, equipped with bathtub and a large separate shower. These rooms also have separate living area. Each suite has two flat screen televisions with selected DSTV channels, are fully air conditioned and have a mini-bar fridge which we will happily stock upon your request. These suites can accommodate a family and a sleeper couch can be added in the lounge area.

CAMELOT SPA AT SAN LAMEER HOTEL

Camelot Spa. The gracious 4-Star San Lameer Resort Hotel with its tranquil lagoon, Blue Flag beach and magnificent golf course are complimented by a top rated and award winning Spa – the only true spa experience on the South Coast, with an all-encompassing holistic approach to health, beauty and wellness.

The design follows a modern Asian style with clean lines and a minimalist approach. The colour scheme of whites, blues and greens draws from the colours of the natural surroundings and the sensory lights, internal Zen plantings and magnificent views of the Lagoon imbue a sense of calm, continuity and peace.

The highlight of these facilities is the magnificent Rasul chamber, a first of its kind in South Africa in that it houses a central cold pool, which together with the mud treatments, is the ultimate cleansing and relaxing experience. The spa also contains a fully equipped state-of-the-art gymnasium with a range of fitness equipment and a Pilates studio where yoga and Zumba (dance aerobics) classes are taught.

There are nine additional treatment rooms, two of which offer hydrotherapy baths (perfect for milk and seaweed crystal therapies) and a further two have inter-leading doors, ideal for couple’s treatments. Camelot Spa prides itself on offering the full range of beauty therapies including skin and body treatments, five completely differing massage styles, body assessments and slimming programmes.

SAN LAMEER COUNTRY CLUB

The centerpiece of the Estate’s magnificent domain is the 18-hole Championship Golf Course designed by Peter Matkovich and Dale Hayes.

The layout winds through pristine coastal flora and the tastefully constructed villas. Its fairways clad in a strain of Cynoden called Sahara, a grass which provides an excellent playing surface and which compliments the large, undulating Country Club-grassed greens.

There is certainly an interesting blend of holes on this tight economical layout, all memorable and all capable of frustrating the player who throws caution to the wind. Besides the impenetrable bush, there is an abundance of water on the course, but conservative playing routes are always available. It has often been said that no finer collection of par 3s exists anywhere, and the 4th hole, interestingly, is almost a carbon copy of Augusta National’s famous 12th. Rated among the country’s top 10 toughest courses by Compleat Golfer it is consistently ranked in Golf Digest’s top 30 best courses.

THE LAGOON BAR & GRILL

Delectable light meals are served all day on the Promenade terrace or simply unwind here with a glass of wine or signature cocktail. The Lagoon Restaurant is open daily for breakfast and dining – breakfast is a lavish buffet affair not to be missed and Chef’s dinner menu is designed to delight all palates.
