6 July 2017 : I travelled from the N7 this morning taking the Bosmansdam turn off. A big long haul S Adjiet Transport truck with a green NC registration number was in the right lane and myself in the left lane to drive onto the bridge and turn right into Bosmansdam. The bridge crossing have 2 right turn lanes. (TRUCKS ARE SUPPOSED TO USE THE LEFT OF THE TWO LANES, HENCE THE TURNING CIRCLE - THEY SHOULD KNOW THAT) Both myself and the truck proceeded to enter the bridge from where both lanes turn right into Bosmansdam. I drove onto the bridge and truck driver did the same, accept that he drove left across into my lane without any indication and just proceeded with myself and other cars hooting at him to indicate that he is about to drive over my car with no intention to stop or to wait. He was in the wrong lane to start off with and it became apparent that he was not going to be able to turn into Bosmansdam out of the right lane as the turning circle is too small. Instead of waiting for cars next to him to pass or indicating that he needs to make a wide turn (as he was in the wrong lane) he just proceeded driving with myself and other cars directly next to him. He was in the wrong lane to start with, all trucks use the left side of the two right turning lanes due to the turning circle being wide enough. The driver clearly does not know how to drive a truck. I was just very lucky that there was no car directly to the left of me in the straight lane going back onto the N7 else I would have be crushed in the process!!! Everything happened so quickly that I couldn't get the registration number accept to note it was a green NC registration plate and the date and time of the incident as mentioned above. I am going to report this incident to the authorities as this type of driving on our roads is what causes unnecessary fatalities because drivers either don't have the licences or training to drive heavy duty vehicles or they just don't care about anyone else on the roads. As I proceeded down Bosmansdam road to turn left into Century Boulevard this same truck driver came flying passed in a straight driving lane on his merry way, TRAVELLING WAY TO FAST to be able to stop at an approaching traffic light should it turn red. This driver should not be on the road driving a long haul truck and gives Adjiet Transport” a bad name!!! Pitty I didn't have time to take a picture, I was quite shaken after this incident and I think so was everyone else that witnessed this incident.
