Rogue Steel was founded by Robert Godfrey Martin, (AKA Bob) in 1990. Bob and his wife Christine started out as a small steel supply merchant operating out of small premises in Clough Street with only 1 delivery vehicle. Today the company boasts a fleet of delivery vehicles servicing clients all around the natal midlands. The company prides itself on its quality of service and has a solid name in the market place for being a reliable service provider.

Rogue Service Centre designs machines that solve some of the more challenging problems in agriculture.

The decision to create three divisions - a steel merchant, a precision engineering shop and an agricultural division - has allowed Rogue Steel to serve the specific needs of different markets and has enabled the company to grow while other companies have found recent years tough going.

Its steel merchant division is headed up by Ravi Jewan (sales manager) and supplies steel to customers throughout the KwaZulu-Natal midlands and stocks a wide selection of steel, including hot rolled and cold rolled steel plate, tubing, angled and channel iron, and structural steel. The division has a full logistics team to deliver orders throughout KZN.

There is a South African truism that says "'n boer maak 'n plan" (a farmer makes a plan). It is a statement that recognises a farmer's renowned ability to tackle tough problems, and to triumph over them with ingenious solutions. The agricultural division of Rogue Steel takes this to a new level with a range of solutions to some of the stubborn problems farmers face. Opened in 2008 the division conducts research and development on problems identified by farmers and designs machines to address these problems.

Just as their solutions are tailored to solve local problems, their robust machines are well-suited to African conditions. They are one of the few companies that offer a 6 month guarantee on all their agricultural equipment.

The company makes a range of implements and machines, like trailers, road building and fire-fighting equipment, chemical applicators, tilling and ploughing equipment and much more.
