Rum and Gin Distillery

Innocent Spirits Distillery is a boutique premium craft rum and gin producer in Cape Town. Our products include award-winning oak-aged rums and gins, all rested in Cape Wine barrels. This slow process gives our spirits a uniquely South African flavour. Visit us to taste straight from the barrel, or sip on our African coffee bean cold-brew Coffee Mocha Rum.  

PRODUCTS

NAVY-STRENGTH RUM62

Dangerously sippable, our overproof navy-strength?African white rum is 62% vol. This soft, luxurious spirit is for mixologists perfecting their cocktails, or connoisseurs who want a stiff?one on the rocks.

We discovered that 62% is the optimum concentration with which to fill our barrels. Coincidentally, we found that it was also excellent in creating the ultimate mix in a cocktail – too weak and the spirit just does not get its fair share of the limelight in a high-end cocktail.

This has been corroborated by several mixologists who are doing a good job in draining our tanks!

Made with the finest ingredients and produced with clean fermentations and a sensitive distillation, this rum is the nucleus of our award-winning aged and coffee rum. The truth in the spirit is in the tasting.

MELODRAMÁTICO AGED RUM

Rich, deeply wooded and sweet, Melodramático is?a symphony that unfolds on your palate. Deep woody resonance, coupled with sweet flor-sherry tones, thick vibrant and moreish. This is a top-class approachable rum of distinction.

Bursting with opulence, deep and complex, this cigar-smoking rum will blow you away. The delicate spirit coats your mouth and lingers long with delicious afterthoughts of caramel, raisins and sherry oak.

COLDBREW COFFEE RUM

Our Cold Brew Coffee is made with carefully selected and ethically sourced coffee. Each batch is a reflection of its unique route from bean to bottle. The bespoke roasting process, gentle steeping and final blending with our premium spirit result in an explosion of coffee-chocolate richness.

Please note: due to the natural ingredients used in producing our coffee spirits there may be minimal coffee sediment at the base of the bottle.

AMBER BARREL RUM

Deep, rich in tone and colour, this masterful spirit is the result of the marriage that took place inside 20-year-old first-fill muscat French oak casks. The conclusion is an astonishing top-quality spirit. Likened by many to have whisky qualities, Amber Barrel is best enjoyed on the rocks.
