The Hilton Bed and Breakfast is a small, select residence situated in the heart of the Hilton village. Our property borders on a wetland, overlooks a forest and has a beautiful distant view of the Drakensberg, which is easily accessible for day trips.
We are only a few minutes from the Hilton Village centre, 10 minutes from historic Pietermaritzburg (capital of the KwaZulu-Natal Province) and one hour from the city of Durban. In addition we are at the southern gateway of the Midlands Meander Craft Route. Oribi Airport is about 20mins away and it is 1 hour and 20 mins to King Shaka International Airport in Durban. Car rentals and airport shuttles are available from Pietermaritzburg.
ACCOMMODATION
We offer modern, upmarket accommodation with comfortable, secure double bedrooms with either a queen sized bed or 2 single beds and a walk-in closet. Each room has the DSTV Hospitality bouquet plus BBC World News and Kyknet, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities and heaters and extra blankets for those chilly nights. There is a small table where you can work and 2 comfy chairs to relax in.
We have 5 en-suite rooms, all on the ground floor. All rooms have private entrances – 3 on the garden side and 2 on the south side of the house. The 2 rooms on the south side can be connected through the closet space to form a family unit. Children under 12yrs at half price.
- All rooms are on the ground floor and all have private entrances.
- 4 rooms have their own bathroom with a spacious shower and 1 room has a bathtub & hand-shower.
- We offer remote access and secure on site parking.
- Hairdryers and laundry on request.
- Everyone is welcome to use the lounge, dining area, and patio and enjoy the lovely gardens and panoramic view over the valley.
Situated on the hill the air is fresh and the days are warm. It is never too hot or humid and the winter the days are generally mild and dry with cold, crisp nights.

Breakfasts are made to order by Michelle using local produce from Dargle Valley Pork, farm fresh eggs as well as Terbodore coffee, freshly ground for your enjoyment.
Breakfast is always served with a smile.
We support the “Local is Lekker” initiative and therefore support our local industries.
To See and Do:
We are at the southern gateway to the Midlands Meander which offers some serious shopping at eclectic boutique shops, dining at delectable restaurants, craft beer tasting and a relaxing meander through the beautiful foothills of the Drakensberg. Also on offer are game-viewing, bird-watching, fishing, horse riding, hiking and mountain biking.

We are a couple of hours from the very interesting Natal Battlefields, an hour from the majestic Drakensberg mountains and an hour from the Durban beachfront.
Midmar Dam is on our doorstep if you are a Midmar Mile enthusiast. Being so close to Pmb, we are perfectly placed to host you for all the BMX and MTB racing at World’s View and Cascades, within 4 kms and 10 kms respectively, the Duzi Canoe Marathon, Comrades Marathon and the Amashovashova Cycle race.
For golfing enthusiasts there are five Golf clubs within easy reach-

Don’t forget: The Royal Show, The Witness Arts Festival and Garden Show & show gardens……….all firm favourites in this part of the world.
There are a variety of restaurants within 2 km’s – The Terrace, Taste of Thai, Artisans Pizzaria, Jaxx at the Quarry, La Popote for delicious lunches and teas. The Corner Post in Howick is also only 10 mins away. Steers, Artisans Pizzaria and Taste of Thai provide tasty take-aways.
