After my previous comment on my husband's condition, I was contacted by the doctors assistance threatening me to remove the comment or legal actions will be taking against me. This is proof of how unprofessional this group is. I will not recommend anyone to use their services.

Dr Bala Govender is a rude and unprofessional doctor my family has ever dealt with. My husband is in ICU and he was performing surgery on him. However I am unable to see him given his state, I was told by the hospital to contact the doctors desk or him directly. When I contact his desk the lady is extremely rude and she tells me to call later, when I call later she sets my line on the side where I can hear her having cellphone conversations and I ended up hanging up. Again upon trying to contact the doctor himself he told me he was busy, then hang up on me and blocked my number. I am extremely disappointed I don't even know how my husband is doing. I'm however taking this matter to the board of doctors at St Augustines and plead to anyone that I will suggest you take up another doctors... Read more »

Dr. Bala Govender is one of the most rude doctors out there. He does not care about his patients, but rather whether he's getting paid at the end. He would rather have a diabetic patient starve over 18 hours only to see them in the evening and ask "you're so hungry to eat your own food, are you going to die?" And walk out saying nothing about the reason he kept you in hospital. He seems like he doesn't know what he's doing in the field of medicine and I would never recommend him to anyone even if he was the last resort, based on his manner's and treatment of people as a doctor and a human being. Absolutely revolting arrogant behavior and attitude for a person of such high qualification.
