Don't let the photos fool you about the atmosphere of this place. The house is dark, cold and inaccessible. our gran spent about two years there, but she aged 20 years in that time. i have never heard of a frail care facility that you spend around R16000pm that cannot provide food for a resident. our gran couldn't chew the dried out chicken patties they fed her, so instead of tapping into their supposed frail care knowledge and the excessively expensive fees we paid them, we had to constantly buy food for her out of our own pockets. often we were asked to buy a whole roast chicken for her, which was then most likely divided up between the staff. we supplied futurelife for her that the staff ended up stealing. we provided cookies as snacks that the rats ended up eating (which the owner repeatedly denied). the rooms are never cleaned. the staff are never around. my gran was shoved into a dark room that never got any sun and never got to interact with other people in the house. in a frail care facility where help is often urgently needed, my gran was given a bell to ring AFTER A YEAR. not a button to press, but an actual bell like its the middleages. the bell didn't work, because she had to call family in jhb who would then have to phone the staff to ask them to go see her.the only recommendation i have for this place is that it be closed down.Don't let the photos fool you about the atmosphere of this place.
