Urgent notice: Knysna needs your help now

The fires raging through Knysna and surrounding areas have created a disaster of epic proportions. Thousands are being evacuated by emergency services while firefighters battle to keep the flames under control.

Already there have been reports of deaths, houses razed to the ground and many wild animals in the area being displaced.

The Eden District Municipality is calling on the public to support those affected by the fires. A drop-off point will be established at the Eden Fire Station in George.
