ABOUT US
We are a Physiotherapy Practice based in Hilton.
We take a holistic approach to treating patients, working to ensure that we discover the root cause of the problem. Ranging from the sedentary geriatric to the elite athlete, we treat a variety of orthopedic conditions.
"Healing Through Movement" is a philosophy we incorporate into all our treatments and we believe that exercise is an important part in the management of our client's injuries.
We are proud to be associated with many high profile athletes in and around Pietermaritzburg. See our athletes’ page to find out more about them.
SERVICES
PHYSIOTHERAPY
At EAP Active we believe in a “hands on” and holistic approach.
When working with our clients, the need to restore movement and return to previous function as soon as possible is imperative. We achieve these goals through an active rehabilitation program, working hand-in-hand with our Biokineticists to ensure a full and fast recovery.
Our energetic and dynamic team of Physiotherapists provide a personalized approach to get you back to your best in the shortest amount of time possible.
In addition to the treatments, our physiotherapists also offer Sport Massages for pre-race preparations or post-race recovery.
HILTON TIME TRIAL
Every Wednesday evening, EAP Active and Velocity Sports Lab Hilton hosts a free trail run in the Mondi Forests next to Grace College. We invite runners of all ages and abilities to join us. Walkers and dogs are welcome too! There are 3 distances to choose from; 3km, 4km and 5km. It is a great opportunity to get some fresh air, meet new people and push your limits (or plod along at a leisurely pace!). We look forward to seeng you there!
MOBiL LAB
We have kitted out our biomechanics lab with state of the art equipment that is able to do objective, scientific assessments.
Our aim is to provide qualitative, comparable data enabling us to create better outcomes for rehabilitation. The equipment gives us specific data that we can then analyse. We can use this information to identify any risks of injuring certain structures and it then helps us, as physiotherapists and biokineticists, formulate more effective and patient-specific treatment plans.
