HISTORY
diThabeng Travel & Tours is a new and innovative tourism company that was established in 2018. It is owned and operated by Sivuyile David Peo.
David is a young man who was born in Kokstad which is a small town in southern KwaZulu Natal. As a boy he was part of the Cub Scouts, which he had initially joined in order to improve his English. This gave him a platform which did not just teach him the English language, but also instilled discipline, loyalty and most importantly, the love of nature.
He has been in the tourism sector since 2015 working as a tourist guide. During this time as a guide he realized that this is probably the best way to educate others about South Africa, its diverse cultures, and its beauty.
After realising this opportunity, he then decided to do a tour operator certificate with SATSA (Southern Africa Tourism Services Association) with the anticipation of one day starting his own tourism company.
His mother being from The Basotho heritage, meant that David has always been intrigued by this culture and Lesotho as a country. During the time working as a guide he has seen the untouched opportunity of tourism within Lesotho, therefore wanting to offer The Platform of telling / teaching others The Story of Lesotho and its people.
