My son bought a product from Biztraders. When we were shopping around for the product, Rodney ensured that we should use his store opposed to others because all products bought from him were fully serviceable. and spare parts were available.

After taking my sons quad to him for repairs after the wire that goes from the battery to the circuit board came off, he said that he could not fix it, and that he did not know who could. This was product one gone (WRITEOFF AND BROKEN PROMISES).

My son being absolutely devastated that all his birthday and Christmas Money had gone up in smoke, begged us to get him another quadcopter. Not aware of our rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), we took him to purchase a replacement quadcopter.

After a short while, the very same wire came off the same circuit board. Together with my son, we researched our rights under the CPA and became aware that all and every product sold within the republic of South Africa carries a legally binding 6 month warranty. Also, that upon excising the warranty, you can demand, without penalty to yourself, a REFUND, repair or replacement (The 3 "R").

Upon returning to the store, we told Rodney about the defect and how it happened again. He now indicated that he could fix it (The first copter was refused for the same issue). We indicated, lawfully and within our rights that we would be requiring a refund. He point blank refused, telling us that they had a 7 day return policy, despite law that forbids such a policy.

My wife insisted that he takes back the product, and Rodney became physically threatening to her (I WAS FORCED TO CALL CASCADES SECURITY TO PROTECT US). We stood in peaceful protest insisting that Rodney do what is right, and he still refused. A magistrate came into his store and even told Rodney that there appeared to be a defect with the product, and still Rodney refused to refund the product.

Now, from April until now, I have had to fight this matter out with Biztraders though the Consumer Protection Council, and after trying to counter claim the biggest load of rubbish ever, his lawyers (Yes, Lawyers for a product under R500) agreed that they would abide by the recommendation of the Council, which was that I should be granted a refund in terms of the law.

Upon returning to the shop, I was treated rudely by a female, who I can hazard a guess as being Mrs "Rodney". She eventually, after many snide comments, refunded the price of the Quadcopter, but not of the blade protectors, which are absolutely useless to me as a product without the Quadcopter. Once again Rodney (Biztraders) has shown contempt for the law, and punished me financially for practicing my rights, rights that are protected under the law.

I have now requested, for a long time, and many deadlines have passed, what Bureau of Standards examined products from Biztraders to ensure that they are safe, and of good quality. Rodney has failed to furnish any of this info, which means that ANY CUSTOMER WHO HAS PURCHASED A PRODUCT FROM BIZTRADERS CAN, UNDER THE LAW, RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY TO BIZTRADERS FOR A FULL REFUND, BECAUSE BY LAW THE SALE IS NULL AND VOID AS IT DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE STANDARDS ACT AND THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT.My son bought a product from Biztraders.
