Bad service ever, Too many mistakes and they never own up, they are denial. guys working at the back are just not professionals, Just cheap labour they hired to ruin our engines.
I beg you never take your cylinder head to them, their mistakes will cost you a lot of money. I took my Audi Cylinder head with cylinder 3 and 4 leaking valves. they checked and instructed me to go and buy only 2 exhaust valves the other ones can be grinded, I went and bought 2 valves and stem seals, they charged me R1050 for that.
I gladly collected my cylinder head and was told it had been tested everything is now working fine, luckily the mechanic decided to start by assembling the head aside far from the block and setting the timing marks on the 2 cams. when done, he lifted up the head to place it onto the engine block and boom the exhaust valve had dropped. Now, imagine if the head was already assembled with the engine block?
Please read as I continue, I returned the cylinder head back to Bishop Engineers, the staff tried to resist and deny saying probably the timing was off but I told them the engine had not been assembled yet. The owner understood and told me to go and buy another exhaust valve (different valve, not the ones replaced earlier) I did so with no complains though they had told me in the beginning that those other valves are fine will need only to be grinded and did not need to be replaced.
The mechanic trusted them this time and decided to assemble the engine. it started very fine by key, idled very well and from No where while idling we heard a knocking sound coming from the engine and the car died.
Guess what it was another valve, broke and dropped in the very same Cylinder they worked on. it had damaged the cylinder head this time. I returned it to them they denied and later told me to pay someone to repair the damage and bring back the cylinder head they will put new valve which I will buy of cause.
if you love your car and don't wanna end up messing up your engine over incompetent engineers, get a pro to do a good job, As they try to offer quick service they make mistakes that will cost you money and time. I had to pay the mechanic twice for same job because he had to dis-assemble the engine again.Bad service ever, Too many mistakes and they never own up, they are denial. guys working at the back are just not professionals, Just cheap labour they hired to ruin our engines.
