ABOUT US

Getting married or celebrating a birthday, or hosting a year end function? Acacia Bush Lodge is the place to be.

We have self catering cabins as well as a venue which has become very popular for small intimate functions like weddings, birthdays and engagements, and year end functions with events of up to 350 guests.

We have the capacity to organise your functions from start to end. The bonus is your guests can stay over and not drive home after the function. Our main venue can hold up to 350 people, with garden functions up to 250. We have three outside venues to suit most budgets.

Our aim is to provide affordable, clean accommodation in a safe secure environment.

SERVICES

Acacia Bush Lodge is surrounded by the natural African bush under the magical African sun. At Acacia we offer wedding, function and conference facilities as well as self catering accommodation. We specialize in tailor making a unique wedding package for your special day, ensuring you have the perfect day.

We also offer 8 self catering log cabins for your guests and family to stay over, as well as a romantic honeymoon suite. Our cabins are also perfect for a getaways in a peaceful and tranquil environment for you and a loved one or the whole family.

Each cabin is surrounded by Acacia Trees and bushveld with the occasional duiker passing by. We have a beautiful variety of bird life, which you can enjoy while sitting on your private deck with your morning tea or sun-downer.

These cabins are fully equipped self catering units and include DSTV and air conditioning. We have 3 and 4 sleeper cabins with a variety of bed set ups. (Inquire when making your booking.)

Weddings & Functions

We also have 3 fantastic venues, each very unique unto itself. (See Weddings and functions for more information on these venues) We have the main hall which seats 350 people, the Lapa area which seats 80 people and the garden which can seat 200 people congregation style.

We offer a full co-ordination of your event, a walk in- walk out service which is why we get brides from far and wide booking with us. We offer accommodation and function packages as well as honeymoon suites.

What to do close by?

Acacia Bush Lodge is located in the district called Bishopstowe, east of Pietermaritzburg, which falls within the tourism district called ‘The Amble”. There are Amble booklets available in your cabins or ask at reception for a book. This lists entertainment in and around Bishopstowe.

Crafty Duck Animal Farm and Restaurant (±4kms)

A really very nice German restaurant that is a licensed bar serving light lunches, not so light lunches and dinner.
